Gilbertscar is a self contained apartment on two floors, overlooking the River Rothay and is part of a Victorian country house built in 1866. It is situated on a quiet country lane and is around 10 mins walk from the centre of Ambleside and around 15mins walk from Waterhead, where all of the Lake Windermere steamers can be taken. Gilbertscar is ideally situated in the heart of the Lake District and gives easy access to the magnificent scenery and all of the attractions of the National Park.
